Beautiful short and sweet poem, Andy. Love it. Eating with company, how lovely is that. Good conversation to go along with food. I really don’t mind eating alone, but if there’s good conversation to have over a meal, I’ll take it. Lovely BW photo, Andy. Wonder what’s the story behind it…
Hope your weekend is going well. We are still having summer-like weather here in Melbourne π Also had chilli-oil dumplings today. Spicy food tastes better in hot weather…then again, I am very weak when it comes to hot food, lol. Hot weather, yes. Hot food, no π

Eating alone is nice when Im also reading or thinking about poetry, but sharing food with friends and family is the best, βyum sengβ , if I remember from a previous article you wrote that this is shouted at special occasion meals π The photo is of a me and a friend sitting the front deck of our house, the baby in her arm is her and her husband’s first child and the baby you can just see sitting in front of me, belongs to another couple of friends who are also at the lunch. It was a lovely day – there was no super spicy food Mabel so you would have been safe and most welcome π Chilli oil dumplings sounds delicious, I am a bit envious – I just ate grilled cheese on toast for lunch. Stay warm Mabel π

That person who took the shot took a great shot. It really is very candid, but of a lovely meal π I don’t think Australia does enough of ‘yum seng’ π I’m eating brought-from-home cheese sandwiches all week for lunch at work. My usual chicken sandwich lunch didn’t work out this week as the chicken went bad :”D

The last line says it all… π when love is concocted with food, it becomes a potion for both the mind and the body… wonderfully said, Andy…

Such truth said in a three line poem.
