The roof of my house is red.
The blood that gives me life, is red.
My favourite t-shirt is faded – red.
When I close my eyes, I see red.
The past is rusty, and red.
The fire that keeps me warm, is red
She is my life –
She is red.
The roof of my house is red.
The blood that gives me life, is red.
My favourite t-shirt is faded – red.
When I close my eyes, I see red.
The past is rusty, and red.
The fire that keeps me warm, is red
She is my life –
She is red.
…. nice lyrics (… and one of my favourite colours…)

In The Netherlands, one of the most popular Dutch singers has a song, in which he sings the color of love is red. This poem made me think of that ๐
Very lovely photograph. XxX

The song is in Dutch, don’t know if it makes sense to share it?

She is ๐ the only Dutch word I know is –
Goedemorgen ๐ so unless the song just continuously wishes me a good morning I’m not going to understand it haha! Thanks Patty

The colour red has tremendous significance in Indian culture. It’s the colour of vitality, of married women and has some religious significance as well.
I loved your words on “Red”… ๐

Thanks Mani. I am reading a book about colours at the moment. It is about the significance of colours and the origin of the English words for the colour. I look forward to what it says about Red. I went to my friends wedding about 6months ago – she is Hindu and her wedding dress Sari was mostly a stunning red. There was gold involved too ๐ Thanks again Mani for your continuing support ๐
