Peggy-Sue got married. Not last year, because we were dating then. It wasn’t this Spring either, we were still together, even then. So here is Summer and I’m at the beach, trying to put sunscreen on my back. Peggy-Sue got married yesterday.
moments remembered
summer burns along my spine
‘til death, do us part
Sounds like a bit of a sad poem, Andy. If I’m reading it right, it’s Peggy-Sue gone too soon. A relationship is a relationship, never take it for granted. Sending summer vibes your way, Andy. It was just 28’C here today. Didn’t feel warm to me 🙂

Hi Mabel, sorry for my tardy reply 🙂 Glad you are warming down South (or has it become a bit chilly again). We are heading out on morning walks earlier these days as the temps are back up into the 30degC levels ;( This is a sad poem Mable, about broken promises, lack of commitment and loneliness. There is also a hit of the love that we all crave. Take it easy and enjoy Summer days (although you can’t rely on Melbourne weather all the time) 🙂

Some people make promises just to break them. I liked the way you’ve expressed the melancholic heart…
